Although Apple didn’t say anything about podcasts in the WWDC 2017 keynote, they are now sending an interesting email to al the podcast providers, with the new features that are coming for them in iOS 11, the next version of the mobile OS of Apple.
The email has got three parts:
Specification Update: here they tell what are the new features that are coming for the podcast providers with iOS 11, like ‘Adding the ability for new subscribers to receive the full current season in their Library’ or ‘Adding quick play to allow users to pick up listening where they left off’.
WWDC Apple Podcast Session: in this part, Apple sends you to the recordings of the podcasts section inside the WWDC 2017 (https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2017/512/), where there are guides for help the podcast providers understanding the new method to submit the podcasts.
Facebook: in my opinion, this is very curious. Here, Apple invites you to like them on Facebook, because here they share interesting shows and podcast. This doesn’t sound great, but Apple is spamming us with its Facebook account.
